By using VidShook, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. They're written in plain English — not legal jargon.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VidShook ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

These terms apply to all users, including free and paid accounts.

2. What VidShook Does

VidShook is an AI-powered YouTube metadata optimization tool. It connects to your YouTube channel via Google OAuth and uses AI to suggest and apply improvements to your video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails.

VidShook only modifies content you explicitly authorize. You can preview all changes before they go live using the Dry Run feature.

New accounts start on the Solo plan. No credit card is required to sign up and explore the dashboard.

Cancellation

Refunds

We offer refunds within 7 days of your first payment if you are unsatisfied with the service. Contact hello@vidshook.com. Subsequent months are non-refundable.

Price Changes

We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.

8. Credits

Shok credits are consumed when you generate AI thumbnails. Credits reset monthly on your billing date. Unused credits do not roll over. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

9. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to your YouTube channel content. By using VidShook, you grant us a limited license to access and process your content solely to provide the Service.

Our Service: VidShook's software, design, algorithms, and brand are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without written permission.

AI Outputs: Title, description, and tag suggestions generated by VidShook based on your content are considered your content once applied to your channel.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

VidShook is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VidShook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VidShook from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

13. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → My Account → Delete Account.

Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.

14. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. We are not liable for losses resulting from service downtime.

15. Third-Party Services

VidShook integrates with third-party services including YouTube/Google, Stripe, and others. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party service outages or policy changes that affect VidShook's functionality.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except for claims that qualify for small claims court.
